Asian American Bloggers at BlogHer '09

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

The best part of the BlogHer '09 experience for me was getting a chance to meet so many of the Asian American bloggers who I’ve been following, and meeting new Asian American bloggers, as well.  They include:

Momisodes—a traveling nurse turned stay-at-home mom to Babisodes.  I admire her blog for her beautiful writing and her frank observations of her world.

Mommy Bytes—a software geek and mom who writes about the trials of parenting and work, complete with beautiful pictures of her family.

Steamy Kitchen--a mom of two, food writer, and TV personality who delivers fantastic recipes and beautiful pictures in her blog.  Her first cookbook will be released in Fall '09.

Wife & Mommy—a wife and mother of 3, who writes about & takes pictures of her family, whom she’s just fallen in love with again.

Lady M—a mom of two, who works in high tech, directs a vintage ballroom dance troupe, writes about all of the above, and takes great photographs.

Fourth Breakfast—a blogger who finds stories to love in television, film, books, and more, then writes about them.

Boston Mamas/Posh Peacock/PopDiscourse/Minimalist Mama—a Boston mom with a passion for people, communication, art, food, retail, web surfing, design, pop culture, motherhood, and minimalism.

Tech Savvy Mama—a teacher and tech consultant who helps parents to navigate the overwhelming world of technology.

PinkOliveFamily—a well-known microblogger who uses Twitter in the sourcing and recruiting industry.  She currently works for her sister’s boutique, Pink Olive Boutique.

I was also fortunate to have a chance to meet Nancy Loo, a Fox Chicago News anchor and reporter.  She blogs for her station and has a great “Cool Websites” segment.

I also spotted these two fabulous Asian American bloggers:

Citymama—a mom who covers style, food, design, green issues, pop culture, and parenting with a cheeky twist.  She’s also one of the founding editors of Kimichi Mamas, MOMocrats, and 40 Whatever.

Motherhood Uncensored—a former music professor turned mother, who blogs to connect with other moms and to bring to light the true realities of motherhood and marriage.  Her writing is hilarious and always spot-on.

Don't miss a chance to check out these awesome bloggers.  & please let me know of any other Asian American bloggers that you love.
