Buddha Pears

Friday, September 25, 2009

I first found out about Buddha pears from Jess Daniel, the Steamy Kitchen intern.

I love the concept--growing fruit into the shape that you want.  According to ireallylikefood.com, these pears are grown in the Hebei province of eastern China.

Truly amazing!

These are so great!

When I first saw the story I eagerly looked for a source to buy the molds. (I have a pear tree in my backyard) But I guess they aren't for sale. YET.

Um, seriously?  WOW.
