KidSpeakKidSpeak Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese & Korean Language Tutor for Beginners is a CD-ROM for beginners, ages 5 to 13, who wish to learn another language.  We reviewed the Mandarin section.  This is a total immersion program in which Lin-Lin and Long the dragon introduce your kids to numbers by having them add & subtract and play connect-the-dots, dominos, & bingo.

Kids learn simple Chinese characters by playing tic-tac-toe, matching games, and the memory game.  They also cover common greetings, telling time, as well as naming animals, parts of the body, fruits, and colors.  They learn about various school supplies and items for travel.

There are many songs with animation that the kids are sure to enjoy.  This is a fun introduction to Chinese for kids who are new to the language.

Maybe I can get the program for my husband....haha

Must get this!

That's cool, I will have to get this for my daughter. Especially since she's on summer break from her Japanese school right now. BTW, I just got Big Bird in Japan but we haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Thanks for letting me know.

Wow this sounds great. I would love for my kids to learn Japanese or Chinese. Their grandpa lives in Japan but they don't see him often enough to learn from him. It would be great if they could learn and then use it on him.
