Book Review: My Daddy is a Pretzel
Here's a great introduction to yoga for little ones. The book My Daddy is a Pretzel: Yoga for Parents and Kids by Baron Baptiste gives detailed instructions on how to do 9 different yoga poses and explains the purpose behind each pose. It's wonderfully illustrated with cute, multicultural characters demonstrating the various yoga positions.
You will learn how to do the Tree Pose (Vrksasana), the Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Svanasana), the Triangle Pose (Trikonasana), the Airplane Pose (Dekasana), the Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana), the Plow Pose (Halasana), the Fish Pose (Matsyasana), the Lion Pose (Simhasana), and the Pretzel Pose (Marichyasana).
At the end of the book, there are tips for young yogis for preparation, practice, and having the right attitude, such as respecting your body and believing in yourself. What a terrific book!

This is great! I haven't been as diligent with yoga in the last few months, but I think it would be fun to attempt to do it with my 18 month old!
Thanks
My daughter would love this! Yoga was her favorite activity at preschool last year. Thanks for the recommendation.
Nice
Love the title!
