Billy Elliot the Musical

On Black Friday, we skipped the mall and went to see "Billy Elliot The Musical," based on the 2000 British film "Billy Elliot," about an 11-year-old boy, the son of a coal miner, who loves to dance and wants to become a ballet dancer.

Billy's father had sent him to boxing lessons, but Billy spent the money on dance lessons, instead.  His dance instructor thinks he's good enough to audition for the Royal Ballet School in London, but without the support of his family, will he ever get there?

This is one of the best musicals I've ever seen.  The dancing and choreography were amazing, the music was by Elton John, the drama in the story was very moving, and it was a lot of fun.  OK, there was a lot of cussing, so don't bring the kids, but be sure that you don't miss this show!
