Fall at Starved Rock

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Spent a day at Starved Rock State Park in Utica, IL.  It was a perfect fall day.  The leaves are just starting to change color, and the kids had fun hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery.  This is the view from Lover's Leap Overlook.

Beautiful. When we were still staying in Toronto, my husband and I would drive around just to look at the fall colours :) Love them.

Hi Mommy to Chumsy,

Yes, we'll have to make another trip when the colors have fully turned. So pretty!

we don't have fall transition

Hi Savvy gal,

This place is on our to-go

This place is on our to-go list. It's a bit far, so we haven't made it there yet. Maybe next year!

Hi Sandra,

I've heard that in winter, they have ice falls--and in spring, there are waterfalls. Sounds nice, but we've only gone in summertime and fall so far.

Gorgeous!
