Fishing at Lake View Nature Center
We recently revisted
Lake View Nature Center, and the kids learned how to fish. Terrace View Lake is open from dawn until 10 pm. You can buy a packet of "Powerbait" for $1, borrow poles for free, and kids under age 16 don't need a fishing license.
My daughter caught a fish! Probably the tiniest fish ever caught, but still fun. It's a catch and release pond, so we didn't get to eat it for dinner! :)
Also, every Wednesday from 10 am to 2 pm in the summer, Wild Wednesdays offer story time, animal visitors, scavenger hunts, free lemonade, popcorn for $1, paddle boats for $3-$5, and Nature Center exhibits. Check it out!

What a fun family activity to
What a fun family activity to do. I remember when I went fishing a few times with my family when I was a kid - those memories last a long time!
Hi Bicultural Mama,
I remember trying it as a kid--back then, we used slimy worms for bait!
