Going Down the Jersey Shore
Our trip to the Jersey Shore included a fun stay at Wildwood, where there's a lively boardwalk and lots of beach. The kids had the best time playing in the sand and the waves. The boardwalk was hopping day and night. In the morning were bikes and surreys, then later in the day was a tram. All along the boardwalk were tons of restaurants and shops, as well as daredevil amusement park rides that were truly scary.
We loved the Fudge Kitchen, with its wide variety of flavors. We tried the pistachio, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate plain, but there was also strawberry, Snickers, peanut butter, chocolate coconut, pumpkin pie, cookies n cream, and more.
The Yogo Factory was also fun, with its frozen yogurt flavors, such as angel food cake, apple pie, cappuccino, carrot cake, and York chocolate peppermint, plus toppings such as Andes mints, animal crackers, Capt' N Crunch, Pop Tarts, Lucky Charms, and more.
We went down to visit Cape May, which has a different feel--much quieter and more elegant, with its Victorian homes. It was fun visiting the Lighthouse, but our favorite part of the trip was going to Cape Kayaks, where we got to paddle through Cape May's Salt Marsh with a nature guide. It was our first kayaking experience, and the kids had a blast!
