Sesame Place

Monday, June 22, 2009

Last weekend we went on a trip to Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA.  This is an amusement park & a water park complete with Sesame Street characters.  Unfortunately, we picked a day that had rained, so the water rides closed down when lightning was sighted.

We did go on the dry rides.  They had cute little rides for little ones and a large climbing & play area.  We rode the carousel, the giant slide, the frog hopper, the spinning teacups, & a ride similar to Dumbo.  We waited a long time for Big Bird's Balloon Race, but then it broke down.

We saw 2 shows.  Elmo's World Live! was very similar to the TV show, and they allowed some kids in the audience to participate on stage.  The kids enjoyed it, but Elmo is not really my favorite.  Abby Cadabby's Treasure Hunt was a cute little musical show.

Bert & Ernie were available to sign autographs and pose for pictures.  You can also sign up for character meals.

Of course, the kids loved Sesame Place.  I felt overall that it was cute, but over-crowded and over-priced.  We paid over $50 per person just for admission--but they do offer 2 days for the price of one.
