Inception
Went to see "
Inception" a couple of weeks ago at a dine-in movie theater. The only problem was that I was too busy looking at the menu that I missed the first couple of minutes of the movie. This is a movie that you must pay attention to--things move really fast, and you're being transported between layers and layers of dreams.
Christopher Nolan directs this fascinating film. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Dom Cobb, a man who inserts himself into other people's dreams in order to find out their hidden secrets. This time, however, he is given a new task by a Japanese businessman (Ken Watanabe)--instead of retreiving important data, he is to implant a new idea into a subject. Dom goes about this by layering dreams upon dreams.
Marion Cotillard does a fine job as Dom's wife, Mal. Ellen Page plays a student recruited to be the architect of the dreams, and Michael Caine plays Dom's father.
At the end of the movie, you realize that you're not sure if Dom is truly living in reality or still lost in a dream...and does it even really matter?

I loved Chris Nolan's
I loved Chris Nolan's "Memento" and thought "Inception" was good too. A perhaps lesser know movie of his is "The Prestige" which I highly recommend if you like his films.
